If you don’t have a smart phone or think I’m not worth $1.99 (that’s ok, I almost didn’t download it myself!) then you can check in every 2 miles to see how I’m doing on the Marine Corps web site. The race starts at 7 a.m., and it could take me up to 22 minutes to cross the start line.

I was so excited about this app that I went out and bought a pouch that attaches to my race belt just so I could run the app! Knowing folks are watching will be more encouragement than anything else I can think of.

And now, I’ll keep this short because I have a T-shirt to write on!
