Stoli, beach sunsets and a new D300: A perfect wedding celebration

January 30th, 2009

My brother-in-law got married last weekend, and Jeff and I made the trip to Clearwater, Fla., to celebrate Casey and Kristina’s big day. I was going to write a huge post about love and how apparent theirs is, how they clearly can’t wait to spend their lives together, and how inspiring and touching they are. [...]

One brother deploys, another marries

January 25th, 2009

joined in our new world
I could do nothing but stare
and wonder what it would take
to know you
to hold you
and then we said hello
Cedar Mountain was ours but it couldn’t keep us
You belonged to the shore
but my heart was yours
You were in my dreams again last night
A millennium alone
enough to carry me [...]
