My run could have appeared in an Apple commercial yesterday.
I was on a 5-mile run, and I had taken my water belt with me. Typically I only do that if I’m running 6 miles or longer, but I was feeling a little dehydrated. I was a little bored with my Shuffle playlist, so I put my iPhone in my water belt and I was listening to music on the phone.
So, when the phone rang at slightly less than a mile, I heard it through the headphones (was using regular headphones, not the ones with a microphone.)
I twisted my water belt around, unzipped it, checked caller ID. It was Colleen. I almost ignored it, figuring I could call her after the run, but then I remembered she was at a concert so I figured she might need something to be calling from there. So, I answered it.
“Hey, do you have a minute?” she asked.
“Well, I’m running so I can’t really talk, but I can listen if you don’t mind my heavy breathing.”
“I’m at the concert and they’re selling Barenaked Ladies and Goo Goo Dolls concert tickets for $10. Do you want to go?” she asked.
“When is it?”
“July 30 and August 8.”
“Hang on,” I said, “Let me check my calendar.” (Yes, I was still running. Uphill I might add.)
I pushed the home button, went into my calendar, checked the 30th. “That’s the day before Cai’s birthday party, but I think that’ll be ok,” I said. “What do you think?”
“Sure,” she said. “And if you can’t go, I’m sure I could sell your ticket later.”
“Ok, I’m in!”
“What about Goo Goo Dolls?”
“Nah, I like them but I don’t need to see them in concert.”
We got off the phone and I continued my run. Apple would just have to edit out my Garmin, because if that was a commercial, I would have been using an app to track my run, too.

Awesome! Apple would just have edited it with the Nike+ foot pod and had you buy the tickets right from your iPhone and had them sitting on your printer when you got home.
Impressive!
Thank goodness you and Apple know how to multitask! I can’t wait for our Concert!
