Melissa… as far as your socks, try thicker socks, it really will help keep your feet warmer in cold weather. I know you dont like thick socks, but the thicker wool will trap more air, increasing the amount of heat staying close to your skin.
And then on the topic of boots… If your boots have the hooks going up your ankles, take your laces and cross them (like your starting to tie your shoes) and then run them through the hooks like normal.
