I just finished reading all Mitchell posts Love the stories, think it would be neat to be in the stories, hate being that cold I would like to hike a mountain and camp in the spring/fall. How much would it cost to rent all of this equipment?

MitchellWinter is a unique experience for sure. But there are so many wonderful places in our (relative) back yards! I say we hike the Black Mountain Crest Trail at some point. Also, Nantahala National Forest is one of my favorite places to hike and camp. Would be a shorter drive for Chris too! @Jessica – I think I missed you the most. It’s nice to have another girl around, especially when it comes to things like peeing in the woods!

What Chris R. said about there being a difference between the two is so true. Winter camping is all about having the right gear. With the right number of layers, you’re comfortable. With the wrong gear, you’re miserable. Speaking of gear, I’ll work on that gear list stat!

@Jessica: Yes, you’ll have to come during the summer, but most definitely during the winter as I’m sure it’s its own unique experience.

While I am sad that I didn’t get to go experience that with you guys, I am a little not-sad that I missed the snow. But I’d absolutely LOVE to go when I have all the right gear and the time to do it. This summer would be perfect. Maybe we can make it happen!

I’m in…I am interested in what you thought of the gear you took and the gear you wish you would have took. I guess even the gear that you look back and shouldn’t have taken. Sounds like an awesome time though.
